ShipWreck - Albany

The Story so far:

The sail-driven brig vessel which was contructed back in 1835 in Oswego, New York.

On Oct 1st 1843 in the Mackinac Straits just a few miles from Mackinac City its date with destiny occured. Moving through gale-force weather she ran aground and was wrecked.

Location: The Straits of Mackinac, Lake Michigan / Huron

Lat/Lon: 43.022.34 / 82.026.31

Depth: 60 - 95 ft (18 - 30 meters)

Visibility: 10 - 20 ft (3.0 - 6.0 meters)
